01/27/2014 This gorgeous Elkhart Green 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was restored approximately 7 years ago and is in excellent condition. This vehicle is sure to make a statement wherever you go.
Exterior This Elkhart Green Corvette presents very well. The paint has a great shine to it. It was repainted approximately 7 years ago by the previous owner who restored the vehicle. This was the last year of the chrome bumpers and they are in great shape. Chrome louvers were added to the cowl and behind the rear window, but the owner does still have the original ones as well. The Corvette has two sets of T- tops, one set it the glass set that is currently on the vehicle and the other set are the same color as the vehicle. The trim throughout the vehicle is in very nice shape as well. The vinyl decals on the front fenders add a nice touch but can be removed easily if they aren't for you. The Stingray sits on new rally wheels that are wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 P235/60R15 tires with 8/32nds of tread. The tires are date 2010. The glass in the vehicle is in good shape but the front windshield does have a scratch on the driver's side from the windshield wiper arm. The rear window is removable as well.
Interior The interior is in great shape. The black leather seats are nice and comfortable and do not have any rips or tears in them. The padded dash is in nice shape. The carpets do not have any wear on them. The door panels are complete and very nice looking. The center console is complete and the wood grain trim throughout the vehicle is in great condition. An Alpine CD player has been installed.
Mechanical This Corvette Stingray has been extremely reliable for the current owner with regular trips to Napa, Sierra Foothills and the Pacific Coast Highway. The crate 350 cu. in. 340 HP engine fires up with ease and has a fantastic sound coming from the chambered exhaust system. The 4 speed Muncie transmission was rebuilt during the restoration and shifts great and the clutch has a good feel to it. The rear end was also rebuilt. The gas tank was replaced when the restoration was done. All of the gauges appear to be working properly. The clock is the only thing that does not appear to work. Electrically this vehicle seems to be very sound. All of the lights and signals work as they should.
Overview This fantastic Corvette Stingray was restored by an engineer that restored C2 and C3 Corvettes as a hobby and he looks to have done some great work. The engineer took the car apart for a body off restoration. This beautiful Chevrolet grabs the attention of those around it by its gorgeous lines, color and sound. |
